WRITING RETREATS AT C H A P E L G A R T H

It's AcWriMo and we are On A Roll..

The larger table near the bay window, benefiting from natural light and beautiful views, now accommodates comfortably two writers, so that they may benefit from the 'writing pool' experience.

Our first  term of the 2022-23  academic year has only just got under way, but it has been busy! Our regular monthly retreats have been fully booked and we have had the pleasure of hosting two groups of colleagues - the former one (in September)meeting at Chapelgarth for the first time on a workshop and the latter one (in October) being a wonderful group of returners from Sheffield Hallam University. It has been an opportunity for trying out new retreat formats as well as new workstations for our writers, and feedback has been very positive.

Unsurprisingly we are now gearing up for our big event: we are hosting two Writing Bootcamps https://www.chapelgarth-estate.co.uk/boot-camp to mark ACWRIMO - three-night residential stays of writing productivity and wellbeing. These were booked well in advance and are sold out so we hope we will be able to offer more of these in the future.

The good news is that we have decided to open up new dates for an additional writing retreat in November!

The  dates are

22-24 November - the writing retreat is open to individual academics from all disciplines..

... So if you have not yet committed to a writing schedule for Academic Writing Month, you are still in time

to sign up for this. All types of  bedrooms still available.

Sign up solo or with a colleague..
